Login to your WordPress Dashboard by going to yourdomain.com/wp-admin and log in using your Username and Password.
Go to Settings>General and you can see Email Address just after Site Address(URL).
Once you enter a new Email Address, WordPress will send a Confirmation Email, It will not change until you click on the confirmation link sent to your new email address.
You will see that “there is a pending change of the admin email to yournewemail”. You just need to open your new email address’s inbox and click on the Confirmation Link WordPress sent to you.
This is the simple way you can change your WordPress admin email.
If you want to change the Email address of the admin user of your WordPress, then go to Users>All Users and click on Edit below the Admin user.
You can find the Email section in the Contact Info, you just need to enter your new email and WordPress will send a confirmation email to the same.
The new email address will not become active until you confirmed it.
How To Change Admin Email In WordPress With PhpMyAdmin?
This method is very useful when you don’t have access to your WordPress admin dashboard.
You may lose it or forgot it. It can be any reason you are not able to get into your WordPress admin dashboard.
This trick can also help you when you are not getting a Confirmation Email from WordPress. It means your WordPress is not sending emails.
You can easily change your WordPress admin email through PhpMyAdmin.
Here are the steps you need to follow to change your WordPress admin email:
Click on the Database of your WordPress website from the left side menu and search for the _options table.
On the next options, find admin_email and click on Edit to change your admin email. You simply need to enter your new email address, that’s it.
By this way, you don’t need to confirm your email address.
If you want to change the email address of an Admin user in your WordPress, you can easily do this using PhpMyAdmin.
Just find _users table in database tables list, and click on that to open.
You can easily change the email by clicking the Edit link of the User you want to change the email for.
